The tradition known as Qabalistic Psychology is one of the most intricate and comprehensive approaches to the study of the human psyche and spirit available. It also allows us to deepen our understanding of the inner processes of spiritual Initiation—the Great Work itself. In this interactive talk, Dr. Shoemaker will explore the path of Initiation through the lens of Qabalistic Psychology, revealing the pivotal ordeals and attainments that await us along the way.
Dr. David Shoemaker is the Prolocutor of the Temple of the Silver Star, a Golden Dawn-patterned, Thelemic initiatory organization (totss.org), and a Sovereign Grand Inspector General of the US Grand Lodge of Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O.) He has been a member of O.T.O. and A∴A∴ (onestarinsight.org) since 1993, and he has many years of experience training students in these traditions.
David’s popular “Living Thelema” podcasts have appeared regularly since 2010, and his widely praised Living Thelema book was published in late 2013. His book The Winds of Wisdom contains a full record of his scrying of the Thirty Enochian Aethyrs, and his latest work is The Way of the Will, published by Weiser Books.
In addition to his writing and teaching in the fields of Thelema and ceremonial magick, David is a clinical psychologist in private practice and a musician/composer.
