Photographs by Matt Selfe
11am – 6pm, Monday to Saturday

Matt Selfe has been an enthusiastic traveller to India for many years. As an importer of tea, spices and crafts he has explored all over the country. From the tea hills of the North, troubled Kashmir, Dharamsala, the home of the Dali Lama, via Delhi and the big cities all the way to the tropical spice lands of the South, he has eagerly absorbed the ‘India experience’.

As well as working, Matt is a keen photographer and an astute observer of Indian daily life. His great interest is not the breathtaking vistas of the Hindu Kush, the architecture of Moghul palaces and Hindu temples. What fascinates Matt are the people. Everyday Indians going about their business. Street traders, washer women, exotic sadu’s, rickshaw wallahs, street life. He has captured the colour of the everyday in this series of photographs.

He has captured ‘Faces of India’.  And we are very pleased be able to present his exhibition exclusively to our customers before it begins its UK-wide tour.

These pictures are available to purchase as single prints or as a collated portfolio.
