This evening will feature a PowerPoint presentation spread over two sessions, concerning the history and graphic creation of magic sigils. The first session details the spirits and sigil styles that feature in the Judeo-Christian rituals of ceremonial magic, first practiced in the Middle Ages and Renaissance. It continues with the 20th century re-invention of the sigil by Austin Osman Spare and its influence on Chaos magick and other forms of post modern sigil styles. The second session is a sigil creation art class, supplemented with worksheets containing the various methods and techniques used by magicians to create sigils, as a reference and inspiration to the artist in the creation of their own personalised magic sigil.
