An exhibition of paintings celebrating some of the finest Victorian and Edwardian ghost and supernatural writers. This exhibition runs from 20th October through to 3rd November.
Painted by Anthony Keates, whose interest in the supernatural has come from living for a time in a haunted house in the Black Country and from watching the classic Ghost Story for Christmas on the BBC.
This exhibition includes miniature portraits of well-known writers such as Edgar Allan Poe, H P Lovecraft, Vernon Lee and E S Nesbit, through to some nowadays slightly forgotten authors. There are also larger paintings of scenes inspired by these great writers’ work.
The exhibition also includes a portrait of Austin Osman Spare, together with one of his actual watercolours.
There are prints, gothic boxes, bookends and gift cards on sale.
