Join bestselling author and diviner JoAnna Farrer for a practical three-hour workshop exploring how the questions we ask shape the answers we receive.

A reading may feel vague or confusing not because the cards or runes have failed, but because the question has not yet reached the heart of the matter. We will examine how overly broad, fear-driven, predictive, or externally focused questions can limit a reading – and how to reshape them to invite clearer insight, practical guidance, and deeper spiritual conversation.

Through guided journey, as well as guided individual and paired exercises, participants will learn to recognize common “question traps,” distinguish what is known from what is assumed, and craft questions that are both intuitive and useful. Participants will refine a question of their own, and use a divination tool to explore how the new wording works in a reading.

JoAnna will also introduce her nature-led, animist approach to divination and demonstrate the ancient Greek alphabet oracle featured in The Diviner’s Path.

Suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners. Please bring a tarot or oracle deck, notebook, and pen. Sample tools will also be available.

JoAnna Farrer is a diviner, priestess of Apollo and Dionysus, and the bestselling author of The Diviner’s Path: A Nature-Led Approach to Divination with Tarot, Runes & Pendulums. A Juilliard-trained professional violinist and concertmaster, JoAnna brings a lifelong engagement with listening, symbolism, and interpretation to her work as a teacher and diviner. She lives on a 40-acre farm in Vermont, where her permaculture work and relationship with the land inform her animist and divinatory practice.
