“Nobut summat”
(Yorkshire dialect, meaning: “Something… or nothing”)

We are pleased to be presenting some of the work by Steve Sheasby here at The Atlantis Bookshop. In his own words:
“Growing up in West Yorkshire in the 1970s, I was deeply affected by the declining industrial landscape. I trained for three years at the Royal College of Art, but afterwards was content to spend three decades restoring other people’s artworks. It was only when I began training in psychic mediumship — with Gary Wright, the medium-in-residence at the Atlantis Bookshop — that a shift occurred and creativity started to flow through me. I asked myself a question: could a Spirit Art be created with just a few found objects? The artist as intuitive archivist. This exhibition is the culmination of that two-year journey. I hope you enjoy it.”
