After a 10-year hiatus, Gary Dickinson returns to the lectern with a revival of his ‘Revealing the Stele’ presentation, in conjunction with his exhibition Rediscovery which runs from 27 June-11 July at The Atlantis Bookshop.

The ‘Stele of Revealing’ is a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian art that has become an icon of Thelema, the religion founded by Aleister Crowley in 1904.

In this presentation Gary will explore:

  • The role the Stele played in the ‘Cairo Working’ of 1904;
  • Its relationship with Thelema’s foundational text, The Book of the Law;
  • The function of the Stele in its original, ancient Egyptian context.
