There’s a need for basic instruction in creating and using herbal preparations – how to dress a candle, how you can use dried herb in rituals, how to blend incense. This workshop introduces the attendee to different ways of preparing herbs and how they can use them in plant magic, or incorporate plants into their existing spiritual practices. Attendees will be making quite a few products as a group and as individuals.
WARNING: There will be alcohol present (to create herbal tinctures). If you are under the age of 18, or are uncomfortable with alcohol being present (due to religious beliefs or medical reasons) please inform us at sign-up. An alternative can be provided (vinegar or glycerin-based extract).
Paul Wood is a sticks and stones type of witch. A lifelong student of the Craft and the Mysteries, he has been teaching ‘Western Esoteric Herbalism’ for over 15 years. During this time he has extensively researched the historical use of plants and herbs in magic, and owned a company dedicated to recreating and selling historic and ancient occult recipes.
He is first and foremost a Witch, though has collected a number of labels over the years; A Wiccan High Priest, an initiate of ceremonial traditions, and a traditional witch amongst them. In the mundane worlds, Paul has a background in integrative psychotherapy, psychology and clinical hypnosis.
